How exciting! I never win anything!
Well THAT'S an interesting prize - are you going to keep it?
My husband wants it so I'm not sure about keeping it.
Do you guys hunt or something? So strange to "win a gun".
Things must be different where you are. My first thought upon reading your post was will you have to pay the fees for the transfer, 15 day wait, and background check?
My husband does hunt. I don't because I have a short attention span but I do like to eat and cook wild game. I also really like to shoot trap.I guess things are different here. This wasn't even a redneck fundraiser. It was held at the local college and the culinary students made different ethnic foods. Tickets were $40 and many of the more affluent people in town were there. Unless things have changed, there isn't a 15 day wait to buy a shotgun. There is only a background check that takes about an hour or so.
We had a raffle at work too, and most of the prizes were decoy ducks, guns and some smaller camping gear. It was a raffle for the highschool, no less. Some of the guns were worth $1.5k! I didnt win anything, but I was glad I didnt. I wouldn't have had any idea what the heck to do with such things.
You definitely could have sold it if you would have won.
That is awesome!
Omg, how cool!
Now that's an awesome prize! I can honestly say that I have never heard of anyone that has won a gun before!
Congrats! I entered a gun raffle at a local firehouse.....didn't win however. Before anyone makes a comment, remember that PA schools around here close the 1st day of Deer Season since nobody would be there to attend or teach if they stayed open. lolzThe 870 is very popular for home defense and/or sport shooting btw......
I didn't even know that it was legal to raffle off firearms. Well....congrats.Do me a favor....e-mail me when you have a minute.....mysti1031 AT yahoo DOT com. Thanks!
