Struggling

I feel like I've been struggling lately with feeling down in the dumps.  I don't know if its just the time of year or if it is depression.  I've been trying to get birth control figured out and its made me very tired, cranky and not myself.  I think that combined with a natural tendency to be a bit manic depressive has been weighing on me.  I need warmer weather and sunshine.  That will make my world a brighter place.

  1. Hang in there! Hope you are feeling better soon. Maybe start writing in a journal each night of the things you are thankful and grateful for?

  2. Everybody has secret sorrows which the world knows not. Sometimes we call someone cold when she is only sad. :(
But maybe this will help cheer her up :) http://imgur.com/gallery/IyUij

  3. Yes, no sun does that to me as well. So does bad sleep. I hope when the sun shines again you feel better. Very sorry you are feeling down.

  4. I am sorry. I hate to think of you feeling this way. I wish I was there to make you laugh. Growing up the way you did ( the way I did) can lead to these conditions. We work so hard to make sure we don't repeat the mistakes of our childhood, but don't realize that maybe genetics predisposed our parents to self medicate a condition. You can fight this, but don't be afraid to ask for help from your doctor. I could not take birth control it really mess me up mentally. Dark, winter weather gets to me. You are such an overachiever and it is okay to be down once in a while. Go buy yourself a new outfit in a bright spring color. You deserve it and make enough money. I said so and I know everything, just ask me:) Go, go I say, then email me and tell me all about it! twintalk2@yahoo.com

  5. It is ok to NOT be ok....

If you are sensitive to the hormones of birth control, talk to your doctor about non-hormone based ones. There is more out there than the pill!!!

I know I am sensitive to the winter darkness too, so I hear ya. But Spring is here (or at least by the calendar). Bundle the kids up and take a 10 minute walk. It will do you ALL a world of good.

  8. Very sound advice from your friends. I've not blogged for a week due to back pain and it always makes me feel better to be connected. Post as often as you can even if it's just to rant. We'll be on the other end.....:)
